The Brussels British Community Association (BBCA) Annual Summer event will be held on the afternoon of Sunday 25 June 2023 at the Royal Brussels Cricket Club near Lasne. Join us for a fun family day out and enjoy typical British food and drink – BBQ, afternoon tea, cake stall etc. as well as the famous Timm’s Pimm’s Bar!
Once again, the sound of leather on willow will provide the genteel backdrop for the BBCA’s annual mid-summer garden party on Sunday 25 June.
Kicking off from 1pm, the Royal Brussels Cricket Club will host our charity fundraiser at its bucolic grounds in Lasne-Ohain and lay on a friendly ‘village green’ cricket match for the thrill – or amusement – of the crowds.
All are welcome to join the fifth edition of this free community celebration. Our priority is to bring people together and this is a great opportunity to do that. The party is not just for Brits – everyone is welcome.
There will be plenty of refreshments laid on, including Timm’s Pimms, a BBQ (organised by our friends at Stonemanor), a tea stand with a generous spread of home-made cakes and fresh strawberries and cream, as well as a cash bar in the clubhouse.
Little ones can join in some traditional fun games such as an egg and spoon race, three-legged race and a tug of war.
As ever, the garden party’s popular raffle offers prizes by generous donors and will raise much-needed cash for the BBCA’s associated local charities: CHS, BCF, the Brussels Branch of the Royal British Legion and The Wednesday Club. The event is also supported by BritCham.
