Vote for CHS

Support ING Bank’s solidarity campaign. As an example of its belief in social responsibility, ING bank will donate 1000 euros to 55 Belgian charitable organisations in December. It is up to the public to choose which organisations will be the winners.

Meet The BRATS at the Café Littéraire!

On Wednesday November 27 at 7pm Le Méridien hotel in central Brussels hosted the BRATS at their November Café Littéraire. The authors presented their book, Retiring in Belgium - A Guide for Expats, highlighting some of its key contents:

  • The impact of retiring, the financial aspects, aids to decision making and planning.

There was plenty of time for questions, answers and discussion and all proceeds went to CHS and the British Charitable Fund. Thanks to Waterstones for curating the event. Further copies of the Guide are available at their Adolphe Max branch.

Cross Border Connections: CHS & Castle Craig Hospital

CHS is happy to be building a good working relationship with Castle Craig, a leading alcohol and drug addiction treatment clinic based in the Scottish border country, near Edinburgh. Their abstinence-based approach, integrating the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, has been shown to be highly effective in the 25 years that this residential Centre has been established.

A New Website for CHS

"We are delighted with our new look” says Rex Parker, chair of the CHS board. "We wanted a well designed, informative and easy to navigate site and that’s what we have achieved."

Relay for Life 2013

"Beating cancer one lap at a time" was the slogan for the CHS team as they took part in the 24-hour Relay for Life, a fundraiser for the Foundation Against Cancer (La Fondation Contre le Cancer), which took place on the sports field of St John’s International School, Waterloo, from midday June 15. The team’s contribution to the €108,000 total raised was an impressive €2774.
